An Operating System is stored in the computer’s hard disk drive and in most cases, your computer BIOS forgets the Boot Setting (it’s possible) or the boot volume of your OS got corrupted.

Before we talked about fixing this error, let’s consider the error itself. What is it all about? This is actually a BIOS Error of your system and can occur in any PC irrespective of the type of operating system you have installed. And BIOS is responsible for starting your computer from the beginning.
This error message “Operating System Not Found” that shows indicates that your BIOS is trying to say that something just happened with your computer which is still creating the problem for your BIOS and it is not able to find that hard drive where the operating system is actually installed.
In fixing this problem, you need to, first of all, check the hard disk drive connection status whether it is actually connected properly or not. To check the status, restart your computer and enter BIOS setup. Find the system’s information.
If your hard disk is listed in BIOS, then it might be that some of your external storage device or the boot volume of your hard disk is creating some problem with your BIOS.
Un-plug all your External Storage Devices, if connected and restart your computer.
Or
Use the Startup Repair Tool, because it will repair your Windows boot volume.
When you apply the above instructions and the problem persist, just reinstall the operating system. If it still showing up, brethren I salute your hard drive. Simply keep it in one corner and buy a new one.
